HISTORY
~~~~~~~
This Zip contains:
SR platforms - these were prefabricated concrete modules, produced at the southern railway's Exmouth Junction works. The platforms come as three modules, _left, _right and _platform.  The left and right modules are the platform ends - and the parts can be used in any combination to capture larger prototypes.  A common use for these parts was to extend older platforms as part of the southern's 'ten car scheme' of 1948.
Platform units were also used in carriage storage areas to allow cleaners and motormen access to the train.
I have also provided a number of representative adverts from the Southern Railway and early BR(S) period.
Adverts and station names are provided as a separate BMP file so that you can rename your stations.  Obviously you will then need separate iterations of the platform files also - I will assume you guys can work that out - if not, let me know.
INSTALLATION
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I assume nothing. However, before installing any models, I suggest you make a copy of all the files in your chosen route's directory - failure to do this may result in a lengthy re-installation process.

Unzip all the .S and .SD files into the shapes directory of your chosen route.
Unzip the ACE files into the textures directory. Note that i have not generate a night texture for the lamps - I guess the power is not turned on yet!

Open the route ref file using WORDPAD.
( Normally - Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\ROUTES\your route\routename.ref )
Add the following lines of text:

Save and exit WORDPAD.

You are now ready to add the models to the route using the Route Editor
supplied with Microsoft Train Simulator - the models will not be available in the simulator unless you do this.

These models can be found under various headings.

Instructions on how to use the MSTS Route Editor may be found in tutorials on the Internet.

WARNING: It is not recommended that you delete these files once installed.
